Services

Appointments
In addition to seeing wellness/annual exam, new puppy/kitten appointments, and basic sick appointments (ear infections, skin infections, etc.), we will see urgent care and emergency appointments as well. Patients are seen by appointment only - we do not take walk-in appointments. Please call ahead to make an appointment.

Urgent Care Appointments
We reserve some appointments each day for urgent care situations. These appointments are filled 24 hours or less before the time of the appointment. These urgent care appointments have a higher fee than routine office appointments.

Emergencies/Weekend/After Hours
Tomah Veterinary Clinic provides basic emergency services for our current clients in good standing. If you have an emergency during the day, please call to advise us as to the nature of the emergency and we can direct you. For after-hours emergencies, we use an answering service and share on-call duties with the following local veterinarians: Dr. Randy Pribbernow and Dr. Karen Shea at the Sparta Veterinary Clinic. If you have an emergency after hours or on the weekend, call our clinic number. The answering service will take your information and call the veterinarian on call. The veterinarian will call you back. Please wait for the veterinarian to call you back before leaving for the clinic. You may need to go to either our clinic or Sparta Veterinary Clinic for your emergency visit.

Depending on the severity of the emergency, we may refer you to a full-service emergency veterinary clinic. These clinics have staff available 24 hours a day and are equipped to provide extensive emergency care. The closest emergency clinics are in Madison, WI.

Payment
Payment is required in full at the time of service. We accept cash, debit cards, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express). As of November 2019, we no longer accept checks as payment.

We do not allow payment plans. If you anticipate needing to make payments, we recommend applying for Care Credit (www.carecredit.com) which is a credit card used for health, wellness, dental, and veterinary costs not covered by insurance.  You can apply online and find out immediately if you have been approved. This payment plan allows you to make monthly payments if necessary. Another company providing payment plans is Scratchpay. Please visit https://scratchpay.com/ for more information.

Please call us at 608-372-4879 if you have any questions regarding our payment options.
